Overview

The world’s top mountain, Everest, can be beautiful to gaze at its magnificent view. A lot of people like to think about what it would be like to get up there or even just to see through Sky Base Camp.

“Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour” lets you enjoy a view of the Himalayas from above from the safety of the helipad. This tour is truly amazing and should be taken at least once in a lifetime. We will take you to Everest Base Camp (5,346 meters), which is at the base of the world’s tallest mountain. Our first stop will be Kala Patthar (5,644 meters), which has the best view.

The “Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour” is perfect for people who are short on time because it gives you a great experience in just four to five hours. You will not regret spending money on an Everest base camp helicopter day tour. You will be going high in the sky and enjoying the amazing view of the Himalayas and lush green hills.

The exciting EBC helicopter tour also gives you a bird’s-eye view of the mountains and the green alpine forest with azalea and pine trees. You can also get a taste of the Sherpa way of life for a short time while you eat breakfast.

The Everest Heli or Helicopter Tour might be the best tour you can take. The tour is great because it’s good for people of all kinds. The trip is also great for people who can’t trek to the Everest base camp because of a disability or physical condition; we make sure that people in wheelchairs can get there.

Our other heli tours are the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour, the Gosaikunda Helicopter Tour, the Mardi Himal Base Camp Heli Tour, the Muktinath Temple Heli Tour, the Pathivara Heli Tour, and the Gokyo Heli Tour.

ONE DAY ITINERARY:

5:30–6:30 a.m.: Hotel pickup and drop-off.

The International Airport in Kathmandu is the starting point for your Everest Base Camp helicopter tour. We will get you from your accommodation and transfer you to the domestic terminal of the airport at the first light of dawn.

6:30 a.m.–7:00 a.m.: Processing for your helicopter journey to EBC with a landing.

During the check-in process, our guide will assist you with your bags and other items. Remember to bring your passport and tickets with you at all times. An airport officer will review your paperwork and ticket after you have completed the check-in process, and then you will be ready to board the flight to Lukla.

7:00 AM–8:00 AM: Journey to the Everest region via Heli ride.

You will be able to board the Lukla flight as soon as you finish the necessary airport procedures. Fantastic views of verdant hills await you as you fly to the skies, and once you pass through Dolakha village, you’ll arrive in Jiri village. Over the Lamjura-La Pass (3,550 m), encircled by dense rhododendron trees, the helicopter journey continues.

Lukla, with its breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, will be your destination 45 minutes later. The elevation of Lukla is 2,820 meters above sea level. Lukla Airport, the most recognized landmark in the world, features the world’s smallest runway.

8:00 AM–8:15 AM:Heli Refueling at Lukla

The local Sherpa way of life will become immediately apparent the moment you touch down in Lukla. The airport is teeming with Sherpa guides and porters who patiently await their clients for their trek. In order to refuel the flight, you should allow around fifteen minutes.

8:15 AM–8:30 AM: Helicopter journey from Lukla to Kala Patthar (5,450 meters).

Your flight to Kala Patthar will begin when you refuel at Lukla Airport. You will be informed of your precise location, be it the renowned Everest Base Camp or the formidable Khumbu glacier, through the in-flight commentary. As you soar past Kala Patthar in the second part of the trip, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of mountains including Everest, Pumori, and the top of Lhotse.

8:30 AM–8:45 AM: Explore the area surrounding Kala Patthar (5,450 meters) after landing.

Beyond simply taking in the stunning scenery, this helicopter tour offers an unforgettable experience. On the 3- to 4-hour Everest Helicopter Tour, you’ll get to touch down in Kalapatthar and take in breathtaking views of the towering, beautiful mountains in Nepal’s Khumbu region. Although fifteen minutes on the ground may not seem like much, it’s more than enough to discover incredible views of the gorgeous mountain landscape.

8:45 AM–9:00 AM: Reach Syangboche (Everest View Hotel) (3,950 meters) by Heli

As the vivid hues of a paradise morning meld into one, you will be escorted by a knowledgeable guide who will fill you in on all the details of the sights you will be seeing from above on your mountain flight. You will be itching for another helicopter tour after this little ride.

After you’ve had your fill of the enchanted moments at Kala Patthar, it’s time to have a full breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, the highest hotel in the world. On this flight, you may see the Khumbu Glacier, Gorak Shep, Chortens, monasteries, and the Everest region’s snow-capped peaks in all their glory.

9:00 a.m.–9:30 a.m.: Time for Breakfast at Everest View

Syangboche is best known for the Everest View Hotel, which offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest from every angle. In the lap of luxury, you may take in the breathtaking view of snow-capped hills. With a breathtaking view of Everest, you could enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Everest View Hotel.

9:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m: Reach Lukla via Air and Refuel

Return to Lukla by helicopter while taking in breathtaking views of the Himalayas after a delicious breakfast at the Everest Hotel View. How incredible that you were able to see the world’s highest mountain up close and then return to your accommodation just four to five hours later!

I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Adventure Acute and I couldn't have had a better experience. Everything was well planned, organised and clearly communicated which made the two week trek go as smoothly as possible. The team organising the trek were very friendly, hospitable and easy going. Our guide, Ram, and porter, Pancha, were a fantastic team to trek with as they provided insights into the local areas, had a great walking pace, were extremely positive people and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend them to any future trekkers. I would recommend anyone looking to go trekking in Nepal to book through Adventure Acute.

Unforgettable Everest Base camp trip with Adventureacute was breathtaking My trek to Everest Base Camp with a few friends and my dad was truly an unforgettable experience. The journey was both challenging and rewarding, with breathtaking landscapes, towering peaks, and an incredible sense of accomplishment upon reaching the base camp.A huge shout out to our tour guide, who made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Their deep knowledge of the region, from the history of the Himalayas to local Sherpa culture, added an enriching layer to our adventure. They ensured we were well-prepared for the high-altitude trek, pacing us properly and always checking in on our well-being. Their ability to keep the group motivated, share fascinating stories, and even crack jokes when the trails got tough made the journey even more special. The accommodations and meals along the way were well-organized, and the guide's local connections helped us experience the best of the region. From navigating tricky trails to giving us photography tips at the best viewpoints, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. This trek was not just about reaching Everest Base Camp; it was about the camaraderie, the shared struggles and triumphs, and the incredible memories made along the way. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves adventure and the mountains!

EVEREST BASE CAMP Adventure Acute has the best guides in Nepal! My experience with them was incredible. They spoke good English so there wasn’t a large language barrier. They have done hundreds of trips and are very familiar with the mountain. I would 10/10 recommend Adventure Acute to anyone doing the EBC trek. I can’t wait to go back!!
